Trail of Eagles Nests

General information

Being in Katowice is worth going to the Kraków-Częstochowa highlands. It is one of the most beautiful places in Poland. In the Middle Ages, King of Poland Casimir the Great created a network of Eagle Nests in Jura, castles guarding the Polish border. Over ten castles were built, but today most of them are in ruins. We want to take you on a trip to two of them; in Bobolice and Mirów. Their history dates back to the fourteenth century. They belonged to kings, princes and the richest aristocrats in the country. Our guide will take you on a journey through the intricate and colorful history of the Jura region.
Each castle has many legends, mysterious treasures buried, ghosts of former owners can be found at night, and a white lady scares the tower in Bobolice.
Get ready for a journey full of impressions and scenic views through the land of castles.
